WHHS Library Show is back again! The next show will be on Friday, February 20th.

Doors open at 6:30pm and the music begins at 7:00pm.

Enterance is $5 at the door.

Black History Month Trivia

Teens' stretch your mind muscles and participate in a multiple choice Black History Trivia game for prizes on Thursday, Februrary 26th at 3pm in the Community Room. Can you answer these sample questions?

Who was the first African American to win a Nobel Peace Prize?
In what year were slaves set free by law?

Also come to enjoy free ice cream with toppings.

WHHS Coffee House a Success!

Haverford High School's Radio Program, WHHS 99.9 fm held their first "Coffee House" last Friday at our Library. It was a huge success! Over a 100 teens attended, and listened to the three live bands. Thank you Haverford High School WHHS for collaborating with us. We hope to see more teens for the next "Library Show" on Feb. 20th.

New Clubs

Why not try something different this year and join the new clubs in the Community Room.

Japenese Language Club- Ever thought of learning a new language? Join Armen directly after Anime Club meetings and learn Japenese. Club meets every Monday and Wednesday from 4:00-6:00 pm.

Video/Photography Club-Do you enjoy taking pictures or recording your friends doing silly things? Middle school and high school students can now join the Video & Photography Club. Members will work together to learn how to improve their digital photography and make movies. The library will provide the editing software, just bring your ideas! The club meets every Tuesday from 3-4pm.

I hope you had a wonderful holiday season! I'm looking forward to 2009 and we have so many new programs and events that I'm sure you don't want to miss out on. Why not stop by the New Teen Underground located in our Community Room betweeen the hours of 2:30-4:00pm, on Monday through Thursday. The Teen Underground will resume on Monday, Jan. 6th. I hope to see you there!

Teen 90's Party!

Teen 90's Party on Thursday, Jan. 16th from 2:30-4:00pm. Haverford Middle and High School will have early dismissal so why not come to the library dressed in 90's fashion. Enjoy the blast from the past! There will be music, videos, contests, and refreshments in the community room. This event is free and open to the public.

Philadelphia Party

Come to Haverford Township Free Library dressed as your favorite Philadelphian on Thursday, Dec. 18 between the hours of 2:30-4:00pm. Let's celebrate our Philly Pride! There will be contests, music, videos, snacks and refreshments in the Community Room. This event is free and open to the teens between the ages of 12-18.
