Express Yourself!



Teens, EXPRESS YOURSELF this summer at the library. Teens entering grades 6-12 are invited to join in Summer Reading.

Participants are challenged to read at least 100 minutes a week throughout the 8-week program. Readers will earn prizes for their efforts.

Programs for participants are scheduled throughout the summer. We'll be video gaming, crafting and watching movies all summer, so don't miss out on the fun!

Register today with Ms. Francis in the Teen Underground on Monday-Thursday from 2:30-4pm or at the front desk.

Anime's Masquerade was Great!

What a great way to kick off this summer's Express Yourself program! Teens from the Anime Club dressed up as popular Anime characters and performed skits. The winners are....

Anime Masquerade

Anime and Non-Anime fans come dress up as your favorite character and create a short skit for prizes. Registration forms are available in the Teen Area. Registration Deadlines is May 20th.

Anime's Masquerade will be held on Wednesday, May 27th at 3:30pm. Doors open at 3pm. This event is free and open to the general public of all ages.

Monthly Mayhem!

May is here! There's something going on a weekly basis in the Underground (Community Room) from 2:30-4pm.

Thursday, May 7th-Mother's Day Crafts. Registration was required for the craft. However, you may come and create a card.

Friday, May 8th- Undead Library movie premier at 6:30pm. Live bands performing: Ugh, God, Mike Armine, Poingly. $5 entrance fee.

Tuesday, May 12th- Digital Scavenger Hunt. Join a team and complete the hunt for prizes.

Wednesday, May 20th-Anime Masquerade registration deadline.

Wednesday, May 27th- Anime Masquerade from 3:30-6:30pm. Anime and non-Anime fans dress up as their favorite character and perform a skit for prizes.

Undead Library Show Movie!


Haverford High School Film Club presents Undead Library Show on Friday, May 8th. This event will showcase a zombie film created by students and there will be live music bands performing (Ugh God, Mike Armine, and Poingly). Doors open at 6:30pm. There's a $5 entrance fee.

Cinco de Mayo was fun!

We celebrated the Cinco de Mayo by learning about its history and with the smashing of the pinata. Thanks to Sara A. she was able to break it so that everyone could have a treat. There was refreshments and cup cakes.
